Interim President Loftin discusses plans for Texas A&M moving forward

It is an honor and privilege to have this opportunity to serve as interim president of Texas A&M University.

As a former student and a faculty member, both here and in Galveston, as well as CEO of our Galveston campus, I have an abiding love for Texas A&M and a keen awareness of its rich history and countless contributions in the areas of teaching, research and service.

During this interim period, I pledge to continue to promote our core values as well as Texas A&M's status as one of the top teaching and research universities in the nation.
